Broden Uno is 5 Months

At 5 months old:

•you were becoming  a horrible sleeper, so we are sleep training and you are getting back on track.

•had the stomach bug and we experienced vomit for the first time. Rilynn is one of those blessed people who doesn't vomit. 

• you LOVE your sister. These 2 are best buds already. He thinks she's hilarious and watches her every move. 

•started solids! Sweet potatoes and green beans

•can roll both ways 

•can tripod sit for 5-10 seconds

•improving on spit up but the car seat still gets you every time

I came down stairs from putting away some laundry. Rilynn had put on her swim suit, undressed Broden, and they were pretending to be at the pool.

Side note: we got a tent trailer and can't wait to camp this summer.

Broden 4 months + kid free vaca

Broden turned 4 months a month ago! But we went in VACATION.  I don't mean trip, where you bring your kids and continue your jobs as mom and dad in a warmer place that's new to your children and throws them off their schedule; I mean a vacation where we never cooked, cleaned, or wiped a bottom!

 

First Broden...

At 4 months...

He hit the 4 Month sleep regression just in time for Mimmi, Aija, and Grandma to have him for 8 nights! Sleep training is about to begin.

Loves to laugh at his sister

Gets excited at drop off at his preschool

Loves to eat and may need to start solids soon. He only cries when he's hungry other than that he's as happy as ever! 

Does a lot of rolling.

Likes to sleep on his right side

Drools a lot and might be teething, although no signs of teeth right now

Spit up is getting better

Wears size 6/9 Month clothes and size 2 diaper 

Our vacation

We went on a cruise to Mexico just the 2 of us! It was amazing and I can't wait to plan next years adults only vacation! Loved reconnecting with my husband and having a week of relaxation, margaritas, and sleeping.

Rilynn Leigh is 3!

Happy 3rd Birthday to our spunky and spirited girl! We love you more than you'll ever know!

3 months Broden

This month Broden turns 3 months and Rilynn turns 3 years!

I can...

- lift my head and shoulders, coo and gurgle, starting to giggle, only eats once at night, still spits up constantly

I love...

- my parents and sister

- my bunny on my changing table

I dislike...

- baths 

Firsts...

- slept through the night without even a peep 10-7

- sickness, he has RSV but is doing really well

Broden Uno 2months

 Another great month with this kid. We love being a family of 4! I took Broden into the doctor for his reflux, he still spits up quite a bit, but since he was almost 14 pounds before he was even 2 months he didn't need medication. We got his healthy hip diagnosis exactly 1 year after finding out Rilynn's last surgery had failed. So far he's been very easy, not that Rilynn was a hard baby, just her hips. He is a great sleeper, sleeping 7-8 hours straight at night. He loves being swaddles and won't go to sleep until he's snug as a bug in a rug. 

Loves: his mommy, daddy, sister, watching sports, riding in his ergo carrier, and being held

Dislikes: being changed and being burped halfway through his bottle

Josie warmed up quickly!

Wearing her baby while cooking. Just like Mommy!

Ri says the funniest things! "Mom, you can't say what. You grew up. Your not a kid" I guess only kids can ask questions. "When I grow up I'm going to marry a daddy and have a baby in my tummy." She's the most thoughtful little girl I've ever met. She thanks us every night for things we have done. Last night she used scraps of wrapping paper and "wrapped" up her toys to give to Travis, Josie, Broden, and me for presents. We just love her! Her tantrums and drama are still pretty ridiculous, but this little sour patch makes up for it with her sweetness.
