Maternity Photos

Travis's least favorite part of having a baby... all of the photos I make him take.

We took our maternity photos at George Roger's Park in Lake Oswego.  If you've never been, it is a beautiful park offering riverfront beach and forest hiking.  We were so happy with how they turned out!

2 1/2 years + 28 weeks

Rilynn updates:

Rilynn is 36 inches tall (tall enough for most rides at Enchanted Forest) and 30 pounds.  Just about average in both categories 

She is still going to preschool twice a week so mom can have a break and tutor a little over the summer. 

Knows her ABCs, can count to 20, speaks some Spanish, is obsessed with octagons, graduated in to advanced Parent Tot II swim class after swimming 4 feet independently.  She doesn't forget ANYTHING!  2 weeks ago I told her we would go on a picnic with 2 of her best friends, but it ended up getting canceled.  She still tells me we didn't go on a daily basis.  She calls Travis, Trav or Travis and calls me Honey.

Favorites: Daniel Tiger, picking and eating fruit, playing dress up, babies, being in charge, Justin Bieber, dancing, tube rides, being naked

Least favorites: time out, when we laugh at her during tantrums,wearing clothes

Quotes:

Recently, Rilynn has started getting some cute freckles.  When she told me she got more freckles, it sounded an awful lot like another M.F. combo that wasn't so sweet.  

"Nick, do you like beer?"  Then disappears to get him one.

"Nick is my best friend."

While trying on Flower girl dresses at the Rack, she melted down because she didn't want to take off her favorite dress.  When I picked her up to try and calm her down, she yells, "Stop hitting me!" So embarrassing! 

"Stop signs are octagons!" Every. Single. Time she sees a stop sign. 

Getting in the car after school, "I didn't hit (fill in a name) today."

"Mom!  Look!  I made a snake with my poop!"

 

Pregnancy:

Passed my Glucose test on the first round!  Whoop Whoop!  Last go around I had to do the long testing. The drink is the grossest thing I've ever had in my life.  If you've never been pregnant, think Mountain Dew, syrup, and an added cup of sugar or 2. 

Weight gain: 26 pounds

Seeing a chiropractor for lower back and hip pain.

Slightly anemic again; happened with Rilynn too.  My children are parasites. 

Nursery

Just need to add the stag heads and his name above the crib.

Both of our kid's rooms have these great bookshelves behind their door.

Enchanted Forest with Tay Tay

Happy 6 year wedding anniversary to my hubby! We went to Salty's on the Columbia for brunch, enjoyed some beach time, and went to see Bad moms.   Hilarious movie by the way, we highly recommend it!

I had 3 plates, each with several crab legs.

23-26 weeks

Pregnancy updates...

How I'm feeling- not too bad, I have energy, I'm not too hot with our mild summer, my back is starting to get sore and my feet are swollen but no more than withRilynn 

Rilynn- finally accepted that she's having a brother. Every time we are out shopping and she sees baby boy clothes, toys, or room decor she thinks we should buy it for baby brother.

Nursery- almost done! Lots of navy, gray, and boy stuff

Name- we definitely have a last name, we are pretty sure we have a middle name, and we think we might even have a first name, but we still have 3 months to go so that could change. And of course, we aren't sharing until he arrives.

Rilynn is doing great in her new swim class. Mommy doesn't have to get in the pool anymore wahoo!!

4th of July started with me getting 10 hours of food poisoning, but by evening we were able to walk in our neighborhood parade, and have a fun BBQ with friends. Rilynn went to bed before fireworks but she wasn't too happy in the morning... "Fireworks are too youd!" Apparently they woke her up a few times but being the rule follower she is, she didn't get out of bed to let us know.

22 weeks with baby #2

22 weeks and I've already gained about 22 pounds!! It must be all baby, definitely not that pack of Oreos I ate last week. Which is the exact reason I NEVER buy junk food. It was supposed to be for a worms and dirt dessert that I didn't end up making; couldn't let them go to waste and didn't want Rilynn to find them.  ;)

We met our new doctor and think she is the perfect fit for us! She is a private practice and delivers all of her patient's babies. We tentatively scheduled our c-section, aka picked our kids birthday, for October 15! 4 months to go! I've been working on the new nursery while Rilynn is at school. 

Rilynn took a trip to the ER this week for a false alarm appendicitis.

The only downside to having Rilynn potty trained is that she wakes up at the crack of dawn to pee and doesn't go back to sleep. So we find lots of ways to entertain ourselves at 6 am.
