California Love

Travis turned 30 on Valentine’s day, so we celebrated all week long.  The weekend before, I had a surprise party with all of our friends.  The Portland “short bus” picked us up from dinner full of some of our favorite people and we went downtown to bar hop.  The next morning we flew to Palm Springs for a week of fun in the sun.  Parenting tip: Don’t plan on flying with your one year old after a night at the bars.  Here are some of our favorite memories.

My swimmers
We probably broke a record for laps in a lazy river.

Yoga moves.  She doesn’t like her knees touching the grass so she bear walks.

Reading a book and practicing downward dog in her fort.

3 hour naps every afternoon.

New word is ducky! And now every animal she sees is a ducky.

Daddy kisses

watermelon and bedhead.

Birthday sundae at Moo Time!

Rilynn loved playing in the grass outside of our condo.

Meeting Great Grandpa Swain.

After 5 nights in the desert, we headed west to San Diego to get some beach time in.

Rilynn went straight for the water.

It’s My Party and I’ll Cry if I Want to

What we’ve learned about Rilynn this week...
She hates cake; even the frosting
Loves milk only if it warmed for exactly 35 seconds in the microwave
She has a temper (don’t point fingers)
When we want to break her of her pacifier habit, we just need to put frosting on it

I spent way too much time making this cake.

No photos please, I’ve just been put through the torture of a cake smash.

Learned our lesson with the cake; gave her ice cream.
