Eighteen Weeks!

It's a great day to be a Beaver!
18 weeks marks opening day for the Beavers and the baby is already looking good in orange.  Last night we cheered on our Wildcats too.  This week is back to school.  It is strange to think I won't be with my students all year, but I am looking forward to getting back into the groove of fall and all of its festivities.  Only 2 more weeks until the gender reveal and we cannot wait!

Seventeen Weeks!

17 Weeks (plus 4 days)  I'm behind.

New Petunia diaper bag!  Thanks, honey!

We're still pregnant!  We were out of town in Black Butte last weekend and now I am back to work for teacher work week and have been working 12 hour days.  I know everyone is very disappointed to not see my snazzy chalkboard art, but since nothing too exciting is happening in there right now and the baby is the size of an onion, which is not very exciting to draw, I will do a joint chalkboard for weeks 17 and 18.

Here is a quick update:
Feeling: Still feel fantastic, lots of stretching going on in there.
Movement: I am still feeling occasional flutters.
Weight gain: 8 pounds
Gender feelings: We've got nothing.  I have accidentally called the baby he or she, but usually we just refer to the babe as "it".
Dreams: I keep dreaming that I forget that I'm pregnant and accidentally drink alcohol and freak out or that the baby (which I don't see in the dream) has been born, but I keep leaving "it" at home and bringing Josie places.

Sixteen Weeks!

16 weeks was celebrated at another summer wedding!  Congratulations Amy and Garrett Anderson!

Lots of fun with the baby this week!  I felt movement for the first time.  At first I wasn't sure what it was, especially since all of my books, apps, and email updates (I know I'm a little obsessed with reading about pregnancy) have said I wouldn't feel movement for a couple more weeks, but when we went in for our appointment on Tuesday, my doctor confirmed I was indeed feeling baby flutters!  We also were able to listen to the baby's heartbeat and heard a big kick.  At next month's appointment the ultrasound technician will write down the gender for us to give to a baker for our reveal cake!  We will find out the gender with our family and friends.  This week I also celebrated my last birthday without kids!  It was perfectly relaxing and lots of fun.  Travis took me to breakfast, I had a facial at my favorite spa, did some shopping and had lunch with my mom and Sadie, and went to a great dinner at Maher's in Lake Oswego with our friends and family.  26 is going to be a great year!

Fifteen Weeks!

Before wedding 1 of 3 this summer.
I know I just posted, but I'm trying to get back on the schedule.  Yesterday we were 15 weeks along.  I can't believe how fast it is going.

~Updates~

How I'm feeling: Fantastic!  I've been in a sleepy wave this week, but other than that still enjoying pregnancy.  I think I could do this several times, but Travis doesn't think I should get too carried away with that! :)

What I miss about not being pregnant: Nothing too bad, because I actually love being pregnant, but an occasional summer beer, especially at summer weddings, has been missed.

Weight gain: 4-5 pounds

Gender thoughts: I have taken EVERY gender prediction quiz that I could find online (I know shocking right), but it is pretty much a toss up.  I've had women say, "it's totally a boy because you aren't sick" and I've had women say, "it is totally a girl because I have 2 and was never sick".  I don't have a gut feeling, but we are finding out on September 14 and I can't wait to stop referring to our baby as "it".

Names: We have some lists, but we won't be sharing until the baby is born! :)

Fourteen Weeks!

1 down, 2 to go!  Welcome second trimester!
Still feeling great and staying active.  It has been fun watching my belly grow a little more each week.
This week Travis and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and the last one just the 2 of us.  We started by going to dinner at The Melting Pot, a tradition for us and so amazing when you are pregnant and hungry! Then we went to Bend for two nights where we did some hiking, biking and swimming.  Finally, we met up with our besties, Daniel and Taylor Nicoli to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary in Sunriver where we did even more hiking, biking, swimming, and eating yummy treats at Goody's!  Above is a photo collage of our Paulina Plunge Mountain biking tour where we stopped at several waterfalls and some natural water slides.
